Tale of Two Wolves

This is an excerpt from Chapter 8 of The Golden Attitude book.

There is an old Cherokee tale about a battle that goes on inside of every person. It is said there is a battle between two wolves inside us all. One is evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority an ego. The other is good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.

The question is "which wolf will win?"
And the answer is, "The one you feed."

When we feed ourselves with good thoughts we are guided unerringly to our highest good. That's where practicing the Golden Attitude keeps us on track sometimes to an outcome beyond our wildest dreams. The guidance is always present even when we ignore it completely. It remains always present, ready and waiting for us to begin again. When things go wrong we need only to stop, think and get quiet. It is important to focus on what we want and not what's happening that we don't want. If we consistently declare the presence of good in all things and keep looking, we find the good we seek.
